Cliff Lee.  The gift that keeps on giving.  The M's had the right idea...Cliff Lee and Felix would have guaranteed a World Series win.  Too bad the Mariners forgot to get some offense.  Ah well, it was not to be.  Regardless, the Series should be good.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

My heart will be very torn seeing Lee pitch against my Phillies.

I'm so looking forward to the Rangers taking the WS this year! It was great to see them win last night......

jammun...our M's have severe problems, so mush so that I expect them to loose another 95-100 games next season too. The following season probably 90.....I just don't see them gaining any offensive power for 2-3 yrs seasons. They have no money to spend and believe me their pitching staff, not counting Felix, is mediocre at best. Also Ichiro will go back to Japan in 2 yrs or less....I really think he wants to finish his career in Japan...not with the M's in the cellar.

As for the M's, let's hope for the best.  Maybe some of that crew Jack Z has been amassing will eventually pay off.  Regardless, if the Rangers take it all, they should give a share to the M's front office.  Cliff Lee is pure money.  We can hope that Smoak will be so too, sometime down the line.

That sucked, yet again no offense to speak of.  Go Rangers.

I wanted to see Halladay pitch in the World Series, but at least 2 teams got in that rarely (if ever) get there.  I'm not pulling for either one in particular, but it will make a good story for either team to end their drought.

It's on!
Really,  I think a lot of us saw it coming, and it should be this way.
The Giants and Rangers deserve it.

No question about that, each legitimately outplayed their opponent

Maybe it is age. I remember names like Jeter, Pettitte, Posada and Mo from my early childhood memories!
Though Tex had a pretty disappointing year, as did AJ and the way CC has played as of late was quite surprising.
Talks of Girardi's head were floating around the radio before today's game even began.....Wacko

I'd chalk that up to typical NY media over-hype. I think he's perfectly safe for next season. And besides, who would the Yankees even be interested in for Girardi's replacement?

I prefer the WS from my childhood. It started on the weekend and ended on the weekend if it went seven games. Starting it on Wednesday night is just not right. Then again having it end in November is not right either. The one good thing is that there shouldn't be any snow during this WS like they had when Cleveland played in it.

Did you? I thought the Phillies would win.

Texas has some amazing pitching for sure.....but the bats will win this WS for them, I expect them to put up some big numbers. And plenty of wet baseballs in that short right porch in San Fran..

The Giants beat the Phillies. Then their rag-tag offense hits Cliff Lee for 7 runs and a walk.

My whole world view is shattered.

Hmm, Cliff Lee may be a mere mortal in the post-season after all.  But I've gotta say, it appears the Mariners also included a previously undisclosed propensity for critical fielding errors and base-running sloppiness in the deal.

Yeah, I don't get it either.  The Giants have one of the worst top-to-bottom lineups to ever reach the world series and that happens?  Something's wrong here.
