I'm only 3 tracks in, its great so far though. Also, I really liked TPE, although I still think I prefer BE the best so far. It definitely needs more listens though.

Definitely. All of their stuff took a while to sink in; for me at least.

I remember the first time I heard Remedy Lane and I absolutely hated it. I really didn't like the production or Gildenlow's voice, believe it or not. One day I decided to take it out again, and it was a complete turnaround. I was blown away, and went and bought all of their other albums. LOL Seriously though, I'm sure TPE will grow on you. I found it to be far inferior to Remedy Lane after my first few listens, and it's now my all-time favorite album. Big smile

Oh, did I tell you that I saw Gildenlow live with Transatlantic on Saturday? It was AWESOME! Clap

Yeah, I read your review. I'm insanely jealous! Gildenlow has to be one of the best vocalists I've ever heard as far as range and emotive power go, simply amazing. I've only got Transatlantic's latest, but thats a fantastic album as well!

I wish I could go back and hear TPE for the first few times again... if that makes any sense. LOL I don't always have that sense of wonder as to what will come next any more, considering that I must have heard TPE at least 40 or 50 times! LOL

Oh, and if you like The Whirlwind you NEED to get Bridge Across Forever. That is one of the best albums of the 21st century IMO. And, you still need to get some "good" Spock's Beard or Neal Morse albums. Tongue

It's probably my second as well, Moonmadness first. I haven't realized how much I like Camel until not so long ago, I listen to them various times over a month and they always give me hell-lot of enjoyment.

They might not be as innovative or as complex as Yes, Genesis and ELP, but Camel has that jazzy touch that those bands never had, and that's one of the main factors why I'm such a big fan of the band.

^ I was quite impressed with that album Joel. Easily my favorite album by them.

As for me, a classic...
