What do you think about this album, Catcher? I've had this album sitting in my 'to listen to pile' for months, but just haven't found myself compelled enough to give it a listen (yet).

IMHO...its a masterpiece, yes. My #1 album of 2013, 6 amazing songs each pretty much perfectly done.
What I like is there is metal, rock, blues, jazz fusion...I'm a huge Marco Minnemann fan, incredible drumming on this album.

This one will be tough to beat for Mr Wilson.

Cool, Catcher. Tomorrow might be Porcupine Tree and Steven Wilson day. Cool

One psychedelic doom group I've been a casual fan of for a long time but haven't gotten around to listening in-depth to until now, kind of a shame because Yob appear exceptionally ambitious for this subgenre. For some reason the Pacific Northwest seems to be a major spawning ground for this kind of music. (see also Danava, Red Fang, Witch Mountain etc)

Haven't heard their new album which I'm told is something of a disappointment, but this one is quite a fine disc of bleak yet colourful heavy post-rock. Has this expansive, spacy feel to it that makes me think of vast endless starry skies and alien landscapes.
