Heh. Just gave Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory 1 star. I wrote three thousand words... heh.
If I ever got round to reviewing that album, I'd do the same. However, I don't fancy getting tons of hate mail, so I'll leave the issue well alone.
In the few years I have had Metropolis 2, I have given that album 2 listens (according to my Itunes play count). Honestly, the only thing I can remember was the spoken introduction about relaxation. That seems to be the case with most of the Dream Theater I have; it really fails to make an impression on me.

oh yeah... take my post in the spirit intended.. not for criticisms sake... just thinking outloud. That album is the only album I reviewed.. so far at least.. that I simply did not like. In fact to say I hated it would be too kind. Of course I tried a different tack to my review to not come across so negative and have fun with it instead of unleashing tons of venom. Of course I plan unleashing that venom towards a particular album in a review some day...... but it deserves it.
like I've admitted... I never listened to that garbage that was Torman Mass. It was enough to read the words of our fellow reviewers to know I wanted no part of that. A new lalbum... a obscure album (a warning to stay away from) I can see that. I just see there is so much out there that is good (we like) that need reviews. Of course I am one to talk... which is why I don't criticise. Only post random thoughts.

Hi guys! The british have arrived! Damn, I thought it was easy to speak english to them, but, damn, it's not! I mean, one thing is to write, but speak fluently, that's pretty much on another level.

As long as a review is on-topic and the score matches the words, then I don't see any issue. If it is rambling, incoherent and an attack on the band, genre or this site, then I would have an issue.

Exactly. And as I'm reading Rob's review, I don't see any negative criticism in there. Like I said, I don't agree with him on some/many points of it, but he isn't insulting anyone in it, so it seems pretty kosher to me.

Also, I don't see what the big deal is with Rob writing a 3000 word review on Scenes from a Memory. Granted it isn't the same rating I would have given it, but if he wants to write long reviews, then he's perfectly fine doing it.
Although I do tend to enjoy reading your reviews, Rob. So I might be a bit biased.
you jump in where you have no need.... no one is giving him sh*t. Just speaking honestly.. and with respect to his review.. and what he can and does review. As one who made damn sure he got promoted to Prog Reviewer. No big deal at all.. .beats talking about popping zits or homone problems ... you would think.

However, despite that, they're great!
Pablo, why the new name?
Oh and we're not all great, apparently.
Yeah, I was wondering about the name change as well.
And of course not all of them are great. I mean, look at you, James..... uhhhhhhh, I mean, there's people in every country that....aren't......great.

I think something got lost in translation. I'm not trying to criticize anyone here, and sorry if I came off that way. I'm simply voicing my opinion on something. Because I assume I'm allowed to voice my opinion on occasion?

Not sure why I changed the name, lol, maybe I was bored? or just didn't want people to think my name was 'Cacho', however inserting a fitting nickname, as well as it a song from The Who
About british people being great, I just said that because, the guy is the brother of one of my brother's english friends, and well he brought his girlfriend here too, which is also a very great person.
However, like I said before, it's so damn difficult to talk fluently, or even correctly with them, I'm always chatting with you guys, and I think I can speak equally, but damn, I can't! They speak way too british, which irritates me! nah just kidding, "cool" fellas

Heh, one of my life ambitions is to learn how to do that medieval English accent you get in the Timeline type of movie.
Yes, first I saw that I was like 'The Quiet Zone... excellent, we have a new Van Der Graaf (Generator) fan' and then I looked at it again and was disabused of this notion... didn't guess it was you, though.
