Thus ratcheting up the drama quotient prior to the Eagles' annual talent shortfall demonstration. It must be December... Wink

LOL
They gave me, randomly, Carson Palmer, Reggie Wayne, Pierre Thomas, Michael Turner, Johnathan Stewart, and Carolina's defense (which actually makes me a lot of points!)
I did some moving around of course and I got got a bye, and am now in the next round of playoffs!
I added Davone Bess and that week he had a monster game, Alex Smith doesnt do too bad either.

My starting line-up is:

Matt Schaub - QB
Reggie Wayne - WR
Chad Ochocinco - WR
Marques Colston - WR
Thomas Jones - RB
Chris Johnson - RB
Vernon Davis - TE
Mason Crosby - K
Baltimore Ravens - D

I feel bad for Marc Sanchez, while I did think he was overrated comming out of college, I don't think the Jets are giving him any chance to succeed having him work with Matt Cavanaugh.  I'm not really sure how he keeps getting work with nothing but failure on his resume.

Speaking of insane luck w/ my fantasy..I had Jerome Harrison all year (he was one that they randomly gave me). I decided to give him a start this week against the Chiefs.

286 yds, 3 TD. 49.8 Points.

On top of that...I has a semi tough choice between the sucking Carson Palmer and hot Alex Smith. I decided for establishment over the noob. So glad I did. 3 picks for Smith while 300 yds and 2 TD for Palmer. Made a killing today in fantasy.

As for real football....bummed to see the Bengal not grab that win.
Also, here's to hoping for a G-Men victory over the redskins tomorrow.

Why would you ever start Alex Smith over Carson Palmer?

The Giants can win tomorrow, but it won't make a difference they're still not making the playoffs.

Because Palmers been.....meh (to be nice) as of lately and San Diego has a good D. Obviously, I went back to reality and realized hes the better choice.

And I abandoned the Giants playoff hopes a while ago. I know the record and a legit chance blah blah but the WAY we've been playing...I know playoffs are out of the question. I hope! I really dont want to see them make it in just to get destroyed. They dont deserve to be in...let a better team get in.

That being said, they gotta beat the Skins, I mean cmon!

And my great fantasy day ends with the Carolina defense....who has played well most of the season.

REALLY impressed with this game. Getting pressure with just the D-Line, (sometimes only 3), good coverage, and shut down AP.
Alot of people, (me being one of them) said yeah yeah Brett Favre...blah blah but how will he do in the stretch? He has just not played that well this game. Pressure aside, he did not look sharp at all. Is he beginning to crash another good season?

Vikes and Saints both seemed listless this weekend - maybe even bored. There's something to the "peaking at the right time" cliche the various network sports panels like to drop. Whoever can scrap their way out of the NFC East might have a shot purely on the basis of momentum.

Of course, I'm rooting for the Redskins to win out... Cool

Vikings and the Saints didn't play their best games, but you can't just say that. You really have to give credit to both the Cowboys and the Panthers (particularly the defenses) for the way they played.

Here's hoping the Vikings perform just as badly next week to give the Eagles a legit shot at 2nd seed.

Nah...we've become so in love with this whole "16-0" season I think we forgot how VERY VERY VERY difficult it is. How many times do we see a bad team beat a top one? It happens (and the Cowboys DO have a lot of talent). Besides, maybe these guys are human Shocked and just had a bad game.
The Vikings though have a problem. Their defense seems different since EJ is out and for whatever reason AP is not running well, and the offense around him is faltering. Also...is Favre collapsing again???

That said, I think the Colts will go 16-0.  Pity they'll lose to the Chargers in the AFC Championship.

I'd wouldn't mind if the Colts win it all, just to see the Belichick response. Wink

I wouldn't mind from the standpoint of having the insufferable 72 Dolphin players shut their mouths forever more.

^^Please yes.

By the way, did anyone else notice the boat anchors apparently secured to the legs of each and every member of the Seahawks yesterday as they were blown out at home by Tampa Bay?  I'll answer my own question, since the game would not have been seen in any market other than SEA or TB:  Yes.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Well....nearing half time.
G-Men up 24-0.

Complete and utter domination thus far, on both sides of the ball.
But, let's see how the 2nd half goes.
