I've been loving the Midnight Oil lately. Maybe cause i'm in Australia.

But it sucked to find out that Peter Garrett has become a sellout politician Ouch

I don't really know much about his career since he entered politics but I keep hearing that. Which sucks. He had such vitriol before.

Pretty much sums it up.

Lame to the salt D=

hmmm well my favorite is "In the Absence of Truth"
the final 4, Oceanic to Wavering Radient are all good though. First 2 are a lot more "metal" then get more subdued in the final 2.

Do the Death Grips guys actually like Magma or did they just hear it somewhere and thought it sounded a bit wub?

I've looked up songs on YT that had like 300 views LOLCry
It's OK, I stopped being sad and instead am happy only we know these gifts! The mass public would explode if exposed to Isis, for example.

Though we could use some mass explosions. In the sky!

That uploaded every Isis album, what a winner. LOL

Explosions is another boring post-rock band. :(

It was quite a wobbish bass part though. That is also the only good part of De Futura.

I was surprised you wanted to try Isis...or didnt know LOL

Yo Oceanic and Panopticon are generally more abrasive, ITAoT is less so. There are still harsh vocals though on all 4 albums, just less so on the later 2.

The original bassline is far less wub.  The Death Grips sample is annoyingly wub and does the track a disservice.

Seeing as it's Zach Hill from Hella, then I guess he does know Magma.  It's a shame that there's those sh*tty rapping vocals on it.

Makes you look like a ho don't it...

What an atrocious line.

I knew they had harsh vocals, i was just looking for a balance. Makes it easier for me to digest the sound and possibly grow to like the vocals more.

Also, Baroness seems interesting.
