The Dune books were the first I read while going to school. I mean, literally walking & reading at the same time.

Not the greatest ever, but easily one of the best (if not the best) sci-fi I've read.

I can't expect anybody (notwithstanding James) calling the new Polar Bear great. It doesn't inspire that level of goodness, at least from the first listen.
