I have this one and it´s a wild mix of everything under the sun. Nearly every tune is mixed up with different styles of music. Salsa, Kraut, Symphonic, blues, rock, fusion. I simply adore this one, and at some point in the near future it will certainly be receiving the appropriate 5 stars from yours truly - just like it deserves.
Love this one.

Yes, David, Jean claude Vannier is one of our national treasure. His other mastepiece "Melody Nelson" with Serge Gainsbourg has just been reisuued last month in a fantastic edition of 2 Cd and 1 DVD.

He wrote too for Serge and Jane the music of the movie Cannabis. Really good too ... and hot !

I'll add my praise to that Vannier album released in 1971.I gave it 4.5 stars but it probably deserves 5 stars.
Listening to EARTHLESS right now. These three Americans just jam in a heavy manner non-stopLOL.Heavy psyche in THE FLOWER TRAVELLIN BAND style. Killer stuff !

With a blatant disregard for reviews, I now have the first 4 Mythos albums and "SuperKraut - Live at Stagge's Hotel 1976".

^ I only have their first two so i can't comment on the others but man the ones i have are great. As long as you like them who cares what others think right ?
Listening to EULENSPYGEL right now.Actually i listened to their first two records tonight.I still like the debut best but this is excellent Krautrock from the early seventies with German vocals. They were a seven piece band and there's this comical picture of them in England crossing Abbey Road like THE BEATLES did only there's seven of them so it's a little crowded.LOL

I have listened to samples of the 1979 album Liebeslied by Eulenspygel on Amazon, but this is fairly standard rock music, so luckily I don't have to buy itWink

You've recommended me one of the most bizarre Kraut projects eh? Cool

That is one bizarre album, I totally agree with you KeishiroLOL I bought it a couple of years back when I visited Berlin, and I can honestly say that I absolutely hated it when I first heard itLOL During the last couple of years though, I´ve been opening up to the wilder and more abstract kinds of music, and suddenly I find myself speaking with this album like I indeed knew its language... Strange music.

I´m listening to FAUST´s second one right nowSmoke

Any others?

Ash Ra Temple - ?

Uhuuhuuh that's a bit tough! Like many other acts and bands inside other styles of music - Krautrock often relies on the feel of the whole record, but of course there are stand out tracks too. Let me see if I can remember some on the top of my head.

Brainticket - Egyptian Kings http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFO_WNBl7G0
Ash Ra Tempel - Suche and Liebe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCNwE4755X8&feature=related
Janus - Gravedigger http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DmwqdhfuKs
Faust - Krautrock http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oepHLeTG92s
Ash Ra Tempel - L'Hiver Doux (Ok maybe this is just one of my own faves - plus it's more of a Göttsching solo thing) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JCYi0uDEWac
Guru Guru - Babe Cake Walk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7tLjkX-LgI
Agitation Free - First Communication http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GdhPSmCnlA8
Nosferatu - Willie the Fox http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jnOiZiQCt5I
Lard Free - Acid Framboise http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jq7cnPB0Wus
Popol Vuh - Selig Sind, die da Hungern (Only the first track here) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tbr1gDM9mCY
Ibliss - Drops http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_JPslPOEzqY
Kraftwerk - Ruckzuck http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIu2Fr2nIhI
A. R. & Machines - Cosmic Vibration http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTHnG97KVxs&feature=related
Amon Düül ll - Archangel Thunderbird http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pcla5zyZfA
LA Düsseldorf - Düsseldorf http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_pcla5zyZfA
Prosper - Where the Sun touches the Water http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEDUY5hImi8
Xhol Caravan - Electric Fun Fair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5crICAswOM
Alcatraz - Simple Headphone Mind http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIL1QSgwmRg&feature=related

Ok Scott - I'm getting carried away here, but as you can probably see, I could go on and on at this for hoursLOL
I purposely chose tracks which could fit for the uninitiated in Krautrock, and I hope you find something on there you can use/ and maybe like. From what I can gather reading your never ending stream of reviews (damn what have you been eating boy!) - we don't exactly share the same tastes, but that doesn't diminish the work you've been doing in the slightest. I've been enjoying your reviews thoroughly matey - keep it comingClap

Great list, David Thumbs Up  In fact, my love for Krautrock is made of moments, of songs rather than albums. But they are numerous !
