Pat, it's on The Missing Piece.

That's actually a pretty decent album, IMO.

I'm getting a Cabasa for my birthday. Thumbs Up

And something else. It's a surprise though, so I won't find out for two weeks.

The Missing Piece is 3 or 4 stars, I'd say.

It's actually way better than most people say, but worse than all GG albums before it (except the debut).

I guessed that it was a type of drum or percussion instrument of some sort or another, but Polish Kielbasa came to mind with the phonetics and all.

Yeah, Kielbasa... Cabasa... same thing. Wink

It's actually really neat; I can get tons of different sounds out of that thing. I've really become fascinated with rhythmic instruments, and especially on Lightning Strikes (our 3rd album), I think that'll show. It started with Ex Anima, but it's grown into something else now.

I made about... I think 12 or so homemade rhythmic instruments just for LS, and also have the Cabasa (now), Tambourine, and Shakers. Field recordings are also an element too.

Alex, the best rhythmic instrument is a bong. WinkLOL

Dad, I want a bong.
What?!
I want one.
Drugs are bad, Alex, mmmkay!
But Dad, someone said they make an excellent rhythmic instrument...
Ooooh, there is that!  He's right you know.  Here, here's $20.  Go get yourself one.
Awwww thanks Dad, thanks!
No worries Alex, to quote AC/DC: "for those about to rock, we salute you".  I rock.  I need saluting!

"Unfortunately, rather like prog rock, James' lap is going to last 48 minutes and make no sense to anyone."
Richard Hammond on this weeks Top Gear, followed by 21st Century Schizoid Man.
