When I feel like broadening my horizons, I usually go for something by one Shankhar or another...

But speaking of broadening horizons, I got the Mamma Mia DVD for Xmas, and I think my very musically limited boyfriend is actually starting to like ABBA... of all bands!

He's been humming The Winner Takes It All all afternoon, wtf?

After an instrumental hip-hop albums, I'm listening to a hindu rap album. It's pretty cool.

Way to broaden my horizons.

Broadening horizons is always good. I've been thinking of going back and listening to some old Led Zeppelin stuff lately and seeing what I think about it these days.

Is the movie any good? I was wondering.

I guess it should at least be amusing.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

Yeah, it is amusing. Definitely a chick flick though. The scenario is sorta forced to fit the songs, but hey, what are you going to do, it's a musical.

I really want to see Across the Universe. This looks like a really interesting musical. Have you seen that one?

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

I actually didn't like it. Can't quite remember why now. Way too many clichées, some completely random characters, Bono, not using Joe Cocker enough... stuff like that.

Too bad. I'll probably check it out anyways though. I've heard really good things and really bad things about it. I guess I'll have to see.

And a new harmonica is kinda cool, if it's any good... isn't getting that in some Xmas song too? Santa Claus Is Coming to Town?

No idea, I avoid Christmas songs. LOL

And it's the one I wanted.  A Hohner Blues Harp in C. Big smile

Musicals always suck.

Unless they're by The Who or Jeff Wayne.

I have three of them.

My other two are on their last legs though.  The new one is shinier than a Torman Maxt CD.

Oh you should definitely see it, if you like the Beatles in particular. Some of the covers in there are rather interesting. I heard a lot of people say they loved it too.

Maybe I should get a harmonica too... I've been meaning to pick up my flute again, and I'd forgotten how loud that thing can be. Maybe a harmonica would be less annoying for my neighbours.

What sort of harmonica should a n00b get?
