I like Haken and I think they sound too much like DT. And I don't think metal bands with keyboards = DT clone, otherwise Esoteric, Special Defects and Guapo could be called DT clones.

I still don't get it, but granted I don't have a good working knowledge of music theory like you do, so it could be I'm just missing the similarities. They do have similar riffs and acrobatics at times. However, Haken seems less stale and focuses more on atmosphere and there are large parts that are very Floydian. Also, the mdoern alt-rock vibe is not present in Haken.
