Just lost the family cat a little while back. I wouldn't have guessed it was going to be so rough, but man I cried my eyes out the day my dad had to bring her down to the vet for the eternal sleep.
I still see Speedy in the shadows at my folks' place, it's uncanny....and a little creepy.

Sorry to hear this David, losing a pet is awful. I have a cat who is a Siamese/Burmese cross who is really getting up there. I think he's 16 years old. My dog Dexter is a Fox Terrier and a complete pain in the ass but I couldn't imagine life without him.

 My neighbor is a 90 year-old man living alone and 2 cats are living by him but he doesn't take any care of them, so I give them food, they are not beautiful at all but ok... I'l post some pics of them. One of them already lets himself being touched, the other one is still scared of me. And now and then I go walk the dogs from the shelter, but they are not always so sweet... maybe I'l take some pics too.
