I honestly thought that wreck was Hamilton's fault, and I honestly like the guy, but he gave Maldonado no room at all, and then he tried cutting Pastor off and wrecked both of their days.

Both were being aggressive fighting for a podium and you can understand that.

Still though, Pastor was only out that far because Lewis did push him out there and his tires were starting to give up.
Seems a bit much to put it ALL on Maldonado, but it really does mean nothing since both were out of the points.

Maldonado crossed the line 10th, this penalty drops him to 12th and promotes Senna to 10th.

Ah that's right...I need sleep.
Ironically you're a sleeper!

Well kind of sucks, since IMHO it was really not warranted but whatever.
I mean yeah Pastor didn't handle it right but Hami really shoved him out there. At least penalize both if you want to do so at all.

Not gunna dwell on it, that was a great f**kin race (from Valencia of all) and I am ecstatic about the results.
Kimi is gunna win soon but I tell ya, Grosjean is no joke.
Also Schumi may finally have used up all his sh*t luck! I am positive he'll have a win this year.

Oh and I gave kudos to Schumi and Webber for their epic tears but Rosberg came from outside the points to 6th as well. I don't even know where he came from. What a race!

Of course the criticism of him being a pay driver is starting to wane :P
Half a year does not automatically make, but his would've been a podium finish. And he lost some points earlier from a mechanical failure.

IDK I'm not sure there's any real reason to dislike him.
And we need someone to dislikeLOL at the rate it's going it'll end up being Hami for me ; )

Finally, saw the incident...did seem like a racing incident more than anything intentional on eithers part. Hami could have given him more room, and pastor could have tried to avoid running into him. But last lap, going for podium, I dont expect either to lift or stop or whatever. Surprised they gave MMouldy a penalty though.

It was probably because Pastor was off track and lost controle over the kerbs trying to get back on (you can see him turning hard left on the replay when the car goes straight on into Hamilton).

This is pretty lame, but it's still something:

There's been a different fast lap setter for each race. Wonder what the record for that in a year is.

Doesnt mean as much now as it used to since anyone other than Marussia or HRT that put's tyres on 3 laps from home is going to get fastest lap.

^They're getting faster now, Heikki legitimately out qualified both Torro Rosso's at Valencia and they have a big update for Silverstone, so I wouldn't rule it out just yet.

In other news, London GP! Just anounced today is a seemingly serious attempt to hold an F1 race around the streets of London backed by Santandare UK (who got Lewis and Jensen to design the track) and even Bernie has said he'll stump up some of his own money for it. Should be one hell of a race if it happens.

It would be nice to see it from Heikki too. I forget about that guy :(

That would be pretty cool
Semi related, after continually saying I won't hold my breath the NJ GP is not on. At least not in 2013 but really I was never expecting it to materialize.
Ah well....here's to looking at Texas next year.

^Source? I havent seen anything saying it wont happen yet, only a couple weeks ago they were pretty adament that they were ahead of schedule and the pit complex looks to be almost built. I know Bernie said he doesnt think it'll happen next year but Bernie says all sorts of strange things.

Just a reminder if anyone out there follows MotoGP, this weekend as is traditional with the dutch GP the races are on saturday not on sunday.

Honda's Casey Stoner got the pole but it may be a bit misleading, he struggled for most of qualifying regarding race pace and only when he put on the soft tyre he got the great lap for pole, but most riders seem to believe that the race will need to be done with hard rear tyre unless the weather will be really cloudy.

Lorenzo as always looks very strong on race trim, let's hope for a thrilling race Smile

Turns out that IS what it said.
No next year, but maybe 2014.
IDK guess it's just paranoia. Seems too good to be true, I never expected this race to actually materializeLOL
Though I hope it does, for the track alone...and how nice it would be.

Just heard that Marussia test driver Maria De Villota has been seriously injured in a testing accident this morning during a straight line test at an airfield. Apparently she was just coming back to the make shif pit area when the car suddenly accelerated and hit the team truck, it seems that her head took the brunt of the impact, ambulance services say the injuries are life threatening.

I hope she pulls through from this, terrible accident.
