Though many of my favorite bands are RIO/Avant/Zeuhl, I think that as a subgenre Krautrock is possibly my favorite overall.

True.  Over summer/warmer months I'll probably say that "While Krautrock has some of my favorite albums, RIO/Avant/Zeuhl is probably my favorite group of genres." LOL
