I'm either voting for my dog Tuesday or Roseanne for president- I haven't decided yet.

So it is okay for big profitable corporations to avoid taxes by parking billions of american dollars in offshore accounts to avoid paying taxes on that money while the family man has to pay up. I am not asking about whether taxation is theft which I will readily agree with.

(Fixin yer quote)

The average family man doesn't pay up.  He gets a tax credit.  EITC.  MWP.  Additional Child Tax Credit.

47% not only pay no federal income taxes- they get a check back.

With the federal government unable to agree on much of anything, state and local taxpayers are bearing the burden for repairing and replacing America's aging infrastructure says a new report from Standard & Poor’s Rating Services.

You named your dog "Tuesday or Roseanne"? I quite like the idea of including an alternate pet name. "The Hobbit or There and Back Again," "Moby Dick, or the Whale," "Fido or St. Eusebius of Vercelli," "Whiskers or Paw and Order"

That article points out that the 47% number doesn't include state and local taxes, which is fair enough, but it's also fair to use the 47% number, because the context it's used in is always about federal tax policy, not about state and local tax policy. Federal taxes go towards things like the military, which benefits everyone, so why should 47% get a free ride on military protection? They don't get one on police protection. I think it's fair to use the forty-seven percent number in the context of federal tax policy discussions.

Sorry Timmy.  Not talking about local and state taxes.  I said federal income taxes.  The IRS data is there.

I said taxes Bobby. We are retirees. We paid federal taxes. We worked our entire life. Where is our representation. Stabbing us in the back. Data does not mean much when we pay federal taxes. Work long enough and hard enough and you will find out.

You aren't all retirees.  Don't be silly.  I'm 29.  Three kids.  Married.  I am in that 47%.

You paid taxes.  You worked.

Maybe you should have not paid taxes.

Maybe you should have thrown off your oppressors in your day.

Now it is our turn?

George Will...Romney: 321 electoral votesLOL

I don't think so......though I'd love to see the polls wrong.  I still have this weird feeling R might pull it out.

I can't imagine that Obama could win after four years of the slowest recovery in history, but I can't imagine that Romney could win with the polls the way they are. Either the polls are wrong or the cult of personality is now more important to people than their own personal well-being. Sadly, I expect it's the latter.

As I have said, the glory of economic evils is that they cannot be sustained.  They will eventually collapse.

Thing with the polls is that many use 2008 models of turnout.  If Obama managed to hold that turnout or not let it slip too much, he's in.  But if 2012 turnout is way different, a lot of media types will have egg on their face.  Especially after working so hard to elect their golden boy.
