No offense, but you guys seem to exaggerate it.

Geezus, I've used drugs before... meh, I ain't homeless out on the street, I'm fairly articulate and relatively intelligent.

Sounds like a casual use, Harry.  I consider "abuse" when the stuff starts to dominate your life and kills all other aspects.

True.

The closest I got with that was alcohol, to the extent where I started neglecting things and would drink because of "nothing to do" even during the weekdays.

You can't be serious.  Confused

LOL

I'm so cynical about people in general that nothing like that can surprise me anymore.

Makes me think of how there was one girl in our class (she left after sophomore year) where someone kept a list of all the stupid things she said, including "Who won the American Revolution?" "Who was Hitler?" and my favorite one mentioned to my biology teacher sophomore year, "Couldn't we just warm Alaska up by putting a giant electric blanket over it?"

Kiersten! LOL

Lmao. Good times. Russ and I kept that list. LOLLOLLOL

And considering what kind of person Mr. Whitehead is, I'm sure you can imagine the response.LOL He somewhat angrily tried to prove to her how illogical it was but she basically denied what he was saying out loud. Granted this is also the person who told me I'm going to hell because I'm not a die-hard Baptist like her.

Haha, Mr. Whitehead and Gravy too... Good times. Man, you missed out on so much with our class that year. I remember that day. LOL

He was a good teacher.

HOLY HELL YES, I LOVE THAT PIC. LOLLOLLOLLOL

You do need more.

Get these. You must:
1. Songs from the Wood
2. Heavy Horses
3. A Passion Play
4. War Child
5. Minstrel in the Gallery

In no particular order, though go for War Child last if you want.

It must be a thing with the people I know.... seriously, at least half of my friends were borderline or actual alcoholics. I remember a few years back, when I was 17, this girl I knew that was 15, would drink because she couldn't get to sleep any other way.
Another one of my friends was like that for years, but then one day, he managed to not only quit smoking, but ditched the weed and only drinks occasionally now. I had a lot of admiration for that effort.

Are you sure she didn't mean "I want to want to be like a severely retarded person... you know, like, the ones in the movies?".

Another person that should just kill themselves.

Sure, I'll give it an 8 of out 10 for eloquence, but it feels like something's just....missing.
