Speaking of which, I still need to give Amon Duul II a second chance now that I love Can so much.

I re-visited Can last week before I went on vacation, and they were better than I remembered.  There were still a couple of songs that I didn't like all that much, but they still left a better impression with me than when I first listened to them.  I still didn't like Yeti all that much the last time that I listened to it however.

I suppose I should give Can another try, but I really don't want to.

Can and Amon Duul are both excellent. I listened to a lot of Can last week. Faust is even better though

I'd be shocked if I can find a Krautrock band that I enjoy as much as Can, but I suppose I should explore the genre more. I might be surprised.

Where would be a good place to start with Faust?

Have you tried Guru Guru?  They didn't knock my socks off or anything, but the Baldies are right in their assessment of the drummer being quite good.  I haven't found anything to make me feel that he is better than Neil Peart, but he is still quite good, just different.

If I had known that you were in the market for it I would have gladly parted with my copy.

So Far would be my recommendation. IV is my favorite for what it's worth

Not yet. Although they are another Krautrock band I need to check out.

As long as a Krautrock band has a good rhythm section, I can probably enjoy them to some extent.

I guess I'll start with those two then.

Man, I would have laughed about so many Krautrock or avant-garde recommendations so much as a few short months ago. I'm glad I'm finally starting to appreciate this stuff. Smile

That's what all Can was like for me at first. It takes a bit for it to grow though.

I skipped the last few improv tracks.

I think Gentle Giant for the rest of the day.

Well, it may suffer from Stolt syndrome.
