Now that I'm in the process of getting more into folk-rock than I've been, that's some more bands for me to check out. Where should I start with Horslips, Caliban and Tempest?

My mom used to think until I explained things that "indie rock" meant rock influenced by Indian music. LOL

Strangely I don't think of either band when you mention these names...

Caliban are a crappy emo band.

Tempest are an awesome blues-rock/prog band with Jon Hiseman and Ollie Halsall (and briefly Allan Holdsworth). Big smile

Usually that's my cue to read...or listen to music.  Those two things are enough proof that being anti-social is just as good as being social. Tongue

The notes for In Glorious Times are disappointing, I was hoping for something on the scale of Of Natural History. Grand Opening and Closing at least comes close.

The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady has 20 pages of description of the music, first by Mingus, and then by his psychiatrist. How odd and redundant.

He's very funny, but I always find his long musical digressions boring. The idea of Dubya Dubstep is funny, but a full five minutes of it is not.

Best friend from the UK or back home?

I'm reading Lord of the Rings now (I tried when I was younger, and failed) -- so far, I'm digging it, it differs more from the movie than I expected.  I have a tendency of zoning out at parts, hopefully I'll get more into it.
