Oh, huh, that is odd. Although I assume there's still time delay from the actual arrest and when it is announced publicly. Paying someone off for a false accusation is damn risky, though.

Both. But the dead cat is in a different universe from the alive one, and vice-versa.

I love modern physics.

Neither, the cat doesn't exist anyway.

There's this too but of course, it's not been proved:

Radio Monte Carlo (RMC) reported on 16 May 2011 that Strauss-Kahn's lawyers have proof that he was at a restaurant lunching with his daughter at the time of the alleged assault. According to RMC Strauss-Kahn paid his bill at midday, handed in his key, left the hotel, ate with his daughter and then took a taxi to the airport, implying that he had already left the hotel at the time of the alleged assault. RMC did not cite its sources.[57]

We'll see what comes of it.

And this:

Jonathan Pinet, a youth activist in President Sarkozy's UMP party, wrote "a mate in the US just told me that DSK's been arrested in a hotel in NYC an hour ago". A second, three minutes later, read: "I got it from a friend of his who works at the hotel".

A blogger on Le Post, a news website, pointed out that the tweet was posted at 4.59pm New York Time, just 10 minutes after Mr Strauss-Kahn was seized on an Air France plane. Mr Pinet had said he had been arrested an hour previously in his hotel, raising questions on how he had obtained the information so fast.

So either it's a cover-up or he wasn't arrested at the Airport at all.

What's the name of that composition that Christian Vander said it'd be his last? Something about zero...

He's still composing.

I've no idea though which one you're referring to.

He said something about retiring after releasing it on an interview.

Quote He has already written what will be his last piece – The Story of Zero. “I wrote it in 1977, and haven’t recorded it. When I do, it will be the last thing I do. Nothing will come after Zero.”

Information can be very confused immediately after a major event like this, misinformation is practically inevitable.

I'm not denying that.

I'm just saying it looks dodgy, that's all.  I'm sure even you'd agree there's a good reason for a cover-up to happen.  I'm not saying it has though as it's been well established he likes the women.  He's on his 3rd wife and has previously had an affair as well.  So he's an easy target.

That doesn't make him a rapist though, of course.

Your laws are silly though.  74 years for 3 offences?

When they quote those numbers in the news that is the maximum legal sentence for conviction on all of the current charges. Even if he is convicted, there is no way his sentence would actually be that long.

Not really.  That makes sense to me.  It happens all the time.

If you're a rapist and you get found out and get arrested, it then means a lot of women or men who were previously scared of being victims, have an opportunity to speak out.
for an old person, you are extremely naive.

I know but still... in England it would be a lot less.

Still, it'll all blow over.  The IMF will find someone else and the French Socialists will find someone else and all will be fine again.

I must say, I'd never even heard of him before this happened.

Trying to find some really good Post-Rock.

Perferably something that isn't repetative or boring.

Any suggestions? Tongue
