The length of a meter is just as arbitrary as a foot. And, for example, the nautical mile/knots is much more logical than using the distance in meters if you're in the middle of the ocean, especially without a computer, but no, metric is always better, let's all goose-step to the French measuring fascists.

And it's not lazy, HAVE YOU NOTICED THE WORLD ECONOMY LATELY? We can't throw away money on f**king signs.

Convert to metric or die, infidels.

I'd like to convert to something logical, but my brain doesn't do metric. LOL

Metric: 1 kilometer = 1000 meters; 1 meter = 1000 milimeters  - 1 meter = the total distance from the North Pole to the Equator divided by a million; 1 kilogram = 1000  the grams - 1 kilogram = 1 liter;  1 liter = 1.000.000 cubic milimiters. OMG, MULTIPLYING BY 10 IS SO RAWRD!! Wacko

Imperial: 1 mile = 1000 double steps of a roman centurion;  a foot = some random king's foot length - a yard = 3.33 feet; I din't have the slightest idea about the rest. try and explain that bullsh*t imperial scum! Angry

LOL
What? The origin of the foot is unknown because it varied from place to pace until it was standardized in the 20th century, and that's the Roman Mile, which is significantly shorter than the current common definition of a mile: there are many different variations on the concept. Most importantly, a yard is exactly 3 feet. The history of measurements is much more complicated and interesting than your glib assault. I agree that metric is better, but it's not worth getting upset that we don't feel like changing all our signs.

I like how you get angry @ the most insignificant details. . . . Besides, I'm not here to lecture ppl in the history of mesurement dewd, so chillax. Cool

Also, the whole world agreed in changing their signs at some point, except some countries. But IDK, maybe the only three countries that actually use imperial in official data are right and maybe the other >200 are wrong.Wink

Twice as many people live in New York City than in your entire country, and Texas is the same size as your entire country. The scales we have to deal with in the US are immensely higher than yours, you measurenazi.

BR is larger than the continental US and we use metric. Hell, the Brazilian Amazon is larger than Europe (without Russia) and we STILL use metric. Maybe there is a correlation on why the US uses imperial and why it is the fattest country in the world, amerilazy, lol. LOL

BTW, I am making a JOKE, AKA not being srs bsns, so, plz, no drama plzplz.

That you're a bunch of pussies has nothing to do with this discussion!

I think that an unmeasurable third in our unit system would be pretty significant if it were true.
