^ Nice.
I have only just begun my journey with this band. I bought Blueberry Boat and absolutely love it. What should I get next from them, or let me rephrase that: have they ever put out a dud?
My favourite song today is Japan's Taking Islands in Africa.
BTW I am glad you liked that second bit of Blue Sun

Definitely get Widow City next, I like it almost as much as Blueberry.
Quick review of their stuff:
Gallowsbird's Bark -- short, catchy semi-experimental rock songs. Very impressive debut
Blueberry Boat -- holy cow
EP -- interesting mix of really melodic single material, and some kinda strange b-sides. Not a major release, but quite good
Rehearsing My Choir -- easily their most avant garde album. I'm still scratching my head over this one. A strange dramatic concept work featuring the Friedbergers' grandmother on vocals.
Bitter Tea -- On the surface pretty simple and childlike, but the songs are still pretty twisted. I'm not too fond of the overbearing keyboard sounds on this one.
Widow City -- More electric guitar and a full time drummer make this their most rockin' album. And it's just as complex as their weirdest sounding stuff too.
Remember -- one of the most f'ed up live albums you'll ever hear. For one thing, they completely changed their songs for live performance. For another thing, they put this album together like a collage, splicing performances together to make one huge two hour quilt of madness.
I'm Going Away -- Pretty much a "normal" album. Actual songs and all that. Still a little quirky, but I'm not that sure I'm into it.

Wow Steve thanks for that! Great little introduction - I can really use that! Think I'll get Widow City and Remember now

"I Am And So Are You" by Affinity.
"The Young Princess and The Young Princess as told by Scheherazade" by Renaissance. I swear this beats the previous choice. Looks like I've rushed a bit with the former choice.
Just found this band and I absolutely adore it. Pop rock sure, but what a sound! I wish more of this stuff got played in the radio, because it could. I know about a hundred females who'd get all electric listening to them. Matter of fact, that goes for the laddies too...
