Hey Pablo, I have a quick question for you...

I have Blue Train (and love it). I'm interested in getting more Coltrane stuff, but I don't have a clue what to get next. Any suggestions? Smile

Blue Train is hard-bop, a more "moving" jazz style, it's not very gentle to say it somehow.

Check these and tell me which you liked more, if you don't mind:

I liked all of them! The song was my favorite (not by much), but I enjoyed all of them. Smile

The second video didn't work for me, but I found another version of the song on YouTube, and I liked that as well.

Okay then, if I were you I would purchase 'A Love Supreme' (one of his undisputable masterpieces) and 'Giant Steps' (a classic I love). Once you get those and enjoyed them, you can check the rest of his classics and explore most of his discography.

No, I know it's Jean Louis and listened to some samples that were posted in the SR I think, but haven't had the chance to listen to the whole album.

Ah, OK.  I think you'd maybe enjoy it.  After all, it's a nice conventional trio (drums/trumpet/upright bass) playing some nice unconventional sounding stuff.  Tongue
