The band Electric Orange (who's here in the Archives) have made their 2002 live album, Unterwasser, available for free download from their website at this link: http://www.electric-orange.com/eo/unterw.htm

Edit: Link is back up, as I don't think the site is infected.  If anyone has any problems with it, let me know and I'll remove the link from the post again to stop possible further infection.

^ None of my virus scan software put up any red flags, but thanks for the warning.

My internet connection suddenly went off and the computer froze when I attempted to download the second file and I had to close it by force. No harm seems to have been done, so I don't know.

I'm going to take down the link for now, because I did a virus scan and hide_evr2.sys is now on my computer.  Not sure if it's related to the site but can't be too careful.

I've tried again and now nothing happened with the computer. It all probably happened only because because the website is quite screwy. Looking forward to listening the downloaded stuff.

Yeah, and before I found the download link I emailed the band about where to find it and they got back to me saying that's the only way to get it now.  I'll re-post the link there, since it doesn't seem that either of us (or the band/whoever's running their site) has noticed any problems directly linked with the site.

I must say I've already heard the album, and while it is still far from their 70's output, it might just be their best since Guet-Apens.

I hope I didn't overlook someone mentioning this already:

Overload - a band from Pakistan featured on PA under NeoProg - have made their album Pichal Pairee available on their official website: http://www.overloadbeats.com    (go to downloads)

All songs are in mp3/320 kpbs.

I only heard two songs yet. They were characterized by:
  • Use of drums, percussion and rhythm patterns uncommon to western music.
  • Dreamy/floating female vocals.
  • Electric guitar alternating between dreamy/spacey and hard rock
The production quality is very good, certainly up to cd standard imo.

So far they don't sound typically "Neo" to me. The dreamy and/or cheesy keyboards are missing. I'd say listeners who like uncommon percussion and eastern influences should check them out.

Wow, that's very generous of the band.  I'm definitely going to check out an album or two. Thanks for the link. Clap

That's pretty crazy, I will definitely be checking that out in the near future. But, being the good little shopper I am, if I like them I'll undoubtably start buying the CDs anyways XD

Looks like The Enid are having some problems and are hoping to use the free downloads as a method of getting donations to help them deal with it financially. It's pretty generous of them to offer us their entire catalogue for free, so I recommend helping out if you are able.

Agreed, but this is a great way to find out if I like them or not.

Yeah, I saw that after my post. I donated to the band and, with the donation, asked if there was a place to buy CDs in a way that helps the band. I'll update if they respond.

Yes, they would prefer a donation on their official site, they want control of their destiny back.

Thanks for posting this, not everyday we see bands from Pakistan, and I really liked what I listened Clap
