Jon, what can you recommend me in the way of Krautrock. I'm looking for some bass heavy, psychedelic stuff.

If you want bass heavy, definitely go for Can's Tago Mago.  They're the first that comes to mind when I think Krautrock and bass.  Other quality choices are Faust IV, though it's not quite as bass heavy, and Amon Düül II's Phallus Dei or Yeti.  Really, any Krautrock album you find. Tongue

Ash Ra Tempel's another good choice, but they don't seem too bass heavy to me either.

Sweet. The record store near my campus has got a whole bunch of new stock, so I will have to check some of it over the coming few days.

Yeah, I wouldn't call Ash Ra Tempel bass heavy, but the guitar is epic, so it makes up for it.

The problem for me is not the campus, or the record store. It's the fact I can only afford to buy 1-2 albums per week, max during study. Unless I can find bargains in second hand/discount bins. Most the music I try and find in NZ has to be imported, and is usually pretty rare anyway = expensive.

Plus, my list of to-buy albums is almost off the chart.

"Over 50 musicians have been in Santana over its 40 year history, but the only constant has been Carlos Santana himself".    So take that Robert Fripp.

I can't be bothered, because I add 10+ albums a week, and only ever buy one or two. It NEVER ends.
