A review's up for me. I've received a promo copy of Sanity Obscure's Dethrone the King EP today. Don't know what to think of it yet.

Yes it is.
It's good, but I've heard similar bands.

Altered States = Uchihashi Kazuhira on guitar, Nasuno Mitsuri on bass (also in Korekyojinn/The World Heritage/Daimonji) and Yoshigaki Yasuhiro on drums, percussion and trumpet.  I'm listening to Bluffs, which is 2 discs of improv.

Altered States is awesome.  Both of their releases I own are all improv, too.  The one I'm listening to is two discs - I'm partway through the second track on disc one, about 6.5 minutes in, and I've still got 46 minutes of this track left. Tongue  Disc 2 is a lot of shorter pieces.  So far Disc 1 has been good.

I think it's good, yeah, but you may want to start off with Altered States 4, as Bluffs was $30.  4 is only like $15-16, and it gives you a good idea of what to expect I think.

The last.fm bio for them is humongous!  I might consider updating the PA bio with some help from that one...

That's a good list.  I know the Altered States album is available on Squidco, if you can't find it anywhere else for a good price be sure to check there.
