Radioactive Japanese Tuna is Here
Why bother to fix the broker reactor? Link Japan's crippled nuclear plant to the shores of the United States 6,000 miles away — the first time a huge migrating fish has been shown to carry radioactivity such a distance. "We were frankly kind of startled," said Nicholas Fisher, one of the researchers reporting the findings. The levels of radioactive cesium were 10 times higher than the amount measured in previous years, but scientists did not expect the nuclear fallout to linger in huge fish that sail the world because such fish can metabolize and shed radioactive substances. |

We can't blame you guys for the tsunami. The story does humble one when considering the magnitude of that disaster. |

Not exactly news of the day (it happened a couple of days ago), but still. It looks like these thugs are showing their true nature:

^ I know! At least it wasn't as bad as your rain. Although, we had a lot of flooding in West Wales.
There are holes in the sky, where the rain comes in
But the holes are very small, and that's why rain is thin. Spike Edited by akamaisondufromage - June 10 2012 at 07:03 |

Anyone see that heckler? The right wingers really need to get over themselves. Everything is goddamn travesty and against America with them. It's so sickening.

That's a heartbreaking read. It's easy to see how how tragic stories like these are swept under the carpet. For a start the war was over, and the west wanted to draw a line under the whole thing, via the media, for their populations. Secondly, these terrible things were a result of the actions of the 'good guys' and this is simply not consistent with the idea that we were the 'good guys' |

Similarly - this atrocity is something I knew nothing about until (of all things) I learned of it via CDs by Diamanda Galas & a documentary on System Of A Down. Who says music cannot be educational, eh? |

Absolutely horrendous, Jim. I don't understand why things like this are not mainline history. |

It's not about using the word vagina, it's the way she used it. I don't agree with her being barred from speaking, but there's a difference between saying: "I do not think Congress should be regulating women's vagina." and "I'm flattered you're all so concerned with my vagina, but not means no." The two statements are clearly different, and it's not just about the word vagina.
