I've hated The Beatles for years. Only now am I beginning to enjoy some of the songs.

It also seems that my disdain for alot of popular music is gradually fading away. Well, the stuff that isn't obviously processed sh*t.

Finally! Big smile

Not that I own a Beatles album mind you and never do I plan to own one.

I still absolutely CAN'T STAND their early stuff.

But I figured I'll give from Sgt. Pepper onwards another chance once per album; not sure when, but I'll do it.

Something about Sean Trane wanting to add them or something... I said you had a bio waiting and that he should consult you.

No because I've heard it far too many times.  I prefer Personal Jesus.

Personal Jesus is the worst song on Violator. Still good, but the rest are better.

I guess I'm the only person left who hates everything about the Beatles now. CryTongue

Seriously though, I think The Beatles and "pop pop" (if anyone knows what I mean by that) are the only types of music I don't like anymore.

I've finally torn down the barrier between myself and hating music just because it's simplistic and/or popular.

It's a good feeling. Now I pretty much am open-minded to as much as I could possibly be; and there really is good music in every type of style or form you could think of. There is also crap.

They are not pop pop, Miley Cyrus is pop pop.

Well, The Beatles are a good pop band, even if I don't want to hear them very much.

I know what you mean.

I'm not really sure what I'm in the mood for right now. It's just been interesting that lately I've been getting into bands that years ago I would have dismissed as too poppy (and ironically, also as too dissonant).

Soo, Alex, are you learning to appreciate the brilliance of VDGG yet?Wink
