Joy is usually unconfined - especially when the sun shines & we can sit outside the pub like last time:

We all looked so much younger then!
I'm not sure about Joy being unconfined though - that young man was quite traumatised by her last time!

Simon wants to know if he can extend the invite to all his fans on the Tinyfish forum, so there could be another couple of people coming along. (sorry Simon, bad joke). Sounds like there could be a few of us, maybe we should book somewhere to eat?

That could be a plan, Alan - we'll need to establish numbers & have a look around for suitable venues.
Ideas anyone?

I can see we're going to have trouble keeping The Shed near the top now we've been moved. Obviously we'll have to post rubbish more often.
Anyway, I'm not too well up on restaurants near the Coal Hole - apart from Pizza Hut and TGI Fridays. I was going to suggest the Mongolian Barbeque but it's shut for a refurb.

There was that Indian that I think Lee knows - otherwise the Coal Hole has a reasonable menu.

That's very true, but it does get quite rammed on a Friday, & if there's a few of us going... mind you, if it does get too crowded, I dare say we'll find somewhere to nosebag locally, there's not exactly a shortage of venues

Let's just find somewhere suitable, stand in the doorway and start discussing the relative merits of pre- and post-Gabriel Genesis. That should clear the place out.
And if that doesn't work, send Jim in armed with his copy of "The Sentinel".
I will be there if I make it through the next 2 days of anti-Bank protesting in the City.

I forsee hordes of unfortunately dreadlocked white middle class weekend anarchists descending on the capital from the well-off suburbs - there may be poorly played drums involved, too

We've been told to dress down tomorrow, so that the rioters, sorry protesters don't realise we work for RBS. I suspect that the fact we're walking into a building with "RBS" in 4 foot high letters outside might give them a clue though.
I'd just like to point out that I'm an IT professional who happens to work for a bank, and not a banker.

I think the media has a lot to answer for here. The protests so far have involved, as Jim pointed out, some hopeless drumming along with offensive facepainting and some particularly egregious juggling (along with uncomfirmed reports of a mime artist). Cruel and inhuman, to be sure, but not what you'd call a riot. The British media, however, keep running stories about all manner of anarchist plots and have been practically begging for some real troublemakers to turn up and kick things off - let's face it, if there's one thing the loony fringe wants it's some nice free publicity. So if it all goes off tomorrow (and I hope it doesn't) the scum who run our media will have a good story, and several days of good natured if unfocussed protest will be negated at a stroke.
Maybe I should go to the ranting room...

you'd think with two Admins as regular Shedsters, you could swing something.. anyone offered a bribe? Maybe something tasteful like a Burger King gift certificate?
