Elvis always had some great studio musicians, no?

He did.

But I wish he didn't, 'cause some of his tunes are horrid.

If Elvis is so good, why are there so many impersonators that sound just like him?

Ah, yes!  That would have been cool. Big smile

Well, I'm a child of older parents.  I think that's what it is with me - antiquated genes! LOL

Same here.  My father is past 60 now and my mother reaches 60 this year.  I'm the youngest of 3 siblings too.

Difficult to translate in a nice way, but the penguin does a fairly good job (it's not 100% literal, but it gets the ideas across). Just made my own translation, and it's not half as good.

Anyway, just been yelled at a bit, so I'm off.

I had a friend who used to date one. Completely surreal.

He wasn't very good though. Used to bob his head up and down like Elvis ALL the time, and every time I looked at them hand and hand I wondered if he did that in bed...Confused Gross.

Everywhere is like it.

University was the exact same.

No, seriously, I suspect that everyone feels that way a bit - a little disconnected from others.  All we can do is try not to make it worse by being insular or making assumptions about what other people are thinking/feeling.

And, being self sufficient is a good thing too.  The less you 'need' others, the more laid back you feel, which always helps.

It's a bit of both.

People don't like change and therefore a new person meddling in on their clique.

Plus it's me as well.  I don't expect much from my friends but I do expect more than I am currently getting.  I have one friend who I would hang around with more but she's only 14 and she's got lots of friends that she spends all her spare time with.  We do actually get on and talk about stuff but her age is the problem.  I don't fancy her or anything, not at all and she doesn't me either.  I just wish we were closer in age, 'cause then things would be much better.

At the end of the day, I'd rather have a proper friendship with someone, than a girlfriend.  I want to be able to be close to a friend too.  I mean some of them hug but that's it.  All my other friends always seem to be jumping on each other, laying together and all sorts.  It's very peculiar.

I understand how you feel because I was in that same situation a few months ago, and getting stuck with being the labor delegate duty at work forced me to get a regular social activity. It's not something I particularly enjoy, but I was basically forced to get out there and meddle, and met some nice people with whom I'm developping friendships right now.

I think you just have to take the bull by the horn and get out there.

Serge Gainsbourg is so perverted it's actually hard to believe he was so popular.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

I only have a "best of" yet I didn't think he was that bad...

What are you referring to specifically? Lemon Incest?

Ah well, not for our North American colleagues! Tongue

I never work too hard; working too hard is ruinous to the complexion. Wink

Mind you, so is staying up too late.

Night night all! Big smile  I daresay I'll be back soon...
