No. I tend to read what I missed most of the time. But with being so busy lately, I haven't been doing that as much.

Hullo.

I just spent a few hours in the mountains pretending to be all viking-like.

Got some pretty sweet pictures, but I can't upload them because my net has been capped.

Maybe an artist releases something for free because they care more about the music than the money and have a source of income derived from something more realistic. If anything, shouldn't that be admired and not scoffed upon?

I really despise that attitude; it's stupid. You're just as apt to pay for something that's sh*tty or not as to your taste as you are to find the new trend of a donation/free download basis. It's incredibly closed-minded.

People jizzed all over Part the Second and yet no one seems to mention the fact that it's a free download as if it's a bad thing. Is it really the fact that an album is free or are people just being judgemental against "non-established" music?

It's sickening. One of my biggest pet peeves. Dead
MOTW already released several albums on real record labels, so that doesn't count. And yes, I am being judgemental against "non-established" music because 99% of the time the stuff they're giving away because they can't charge for it yet isn't even worth my time. Or maybe they really are dedicated to the music and have no interest in being signed, I don't know. But either way, I'm only giving them the first half of a Myspace stream or two before I move on. Is that close-minded? Maybe, but I haven't found much yet to make me bother changing my mind.

And I would only be just as likely to buy something that sucked if I went to Amazon and bought an album at random. There have only been a few albums that I've bought and really not liked, while there are only a few unsigned bands I would consider worth listening to.

At the end of the day, I'll give a free album a listen, especially if it sounds like something I will enjoy. If I don't like it, I won't listen to it. No big deal really.

Yup, although there are very few free albums I listen to consistently.
