Excellent photos, man.  Simply stellar city (and you're not a bad looking fellow, yourself).

A near smothered mate for Ricochet.

(That doesn't sound so good for you non-chess players, does it?)
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing LOL, unfortunately we were in Budapest only during the afternoon, both ways, expecting the train to Graz/home. Ouch

PS.: Wait a minute! "That night"?! I always thought it was "Hot night"! LOLLOLLOL

Sure I am, it took 90 shots to come up with the above photos of myself. Tongue

Yeah, the city is very nice, I visited most of its core and hotspots by tram.

You are, sweetheartHug! We missed you here!

I visited Budapest twice, and it is one of the most beautiful cities I have seen so far. The only snag is that it is not always easy to find people who speak anything other than Hungarian - one of the most difficult languages on earth (even worse than Finnish).

That's curios. I spoke English with almost everybody; from the woman who sold me tickets to Graz to the luggage carrier, two men we stopped asking for directions, the waiters at the restaurant we ate (first picture), etc. We had no problem with that.

Yes, Hungarian is very difficult, there are 5 ways to say hello, and I could hardly remember one (from the friendly "siya" to....see? told you I couldn't remember more than one).

I liked the center of Budapest and the walk along the Danube, otherwise there are some serious sterile or under constructions sights too.

Wonder what's the next city (cities) installed for me to visit... Venice, perhaps? Big smile

I'd go for Rome, if I were youWink! I have to warn you, though... As you may remember, there are lots of Italians who harbour strong prejudices against Romanians. Of course, I'm not one of them, and every time I hear bad things about your fellow countrymen, I think of you, and feel so sadUnhappy.

Anyway, my last visit to Budapest was in 1998, so I suppose things have changed a lot language-wiseLOL...

Maybe some experiences back then, like losing half of their tourists because of the language barrier, taught them to take extensive English courses....Wink

I'd go for any important city in the world...wait, let's just say Europe for now LOL
