Of what Ive heard from Gazpacho and Marillion, I found it all boring. I liked IQ for a quick minute, but now I don't care about them, or just about any neo-prog.
There's a big difference between neo-prog and modern symphonic prog. I don't know what it is (sort of), even though it seems if you like one, you'd like the other. But I love modern symphonic prog, and can't really get into neo-prog.
I've never really noticed the difference between the two to be honest. Crossover, Neo, and Modern Symphonic all have similar sounds to me. Aside, from the mostly instrumental modern symphonic which sound more like classical than rock.

Well, it confuses me. Every band Ive heard that is under neo-prog on this site, I haven't liked. This isn't to say I like every band Ive heard under the symphonic, eclectic, crossover genres, but I have gotten into many bands under those tags.

They sure have, but Crossover is a lot wider in scope. My favourite of the three as well.
