It's very avant-gardeish with a touch of black metal influence in it, and yet still more technical than your average black metal band (and since I thought of it: Kerry King sucks!).

Noice And Kerry King is a terrible guitarist. Worst than Kirk Hammett even

Yes there is that. But honestly, an Opeth CD is more worthwhile than a mellotron anyway.

Nope. 'cause you can download an Opeth single. You have to use a proper Mellotron to get the authentic Mellotron sound. Which, as it happens, is used by Stephen Wilson and King Crimson. Anekdoten use two. So do Mort Macabre. Also, there is a resale value, 'cause there's none currently on eBay (worldwide), so if Alex had one and put it on eBay, it'd go for crazy money.

I wouldn't mind too much, so long as they weren't so damned expensive. It would be pretty neat to have one.

I can only imagine dude, how much fun you would have smashing it. It would give you over a week of entertainment

Exactly. I would like one even without the re-sale value too. It'd be pretty cool to mess around with it.

Zeuhl Kitty has gone commercial again and is bopping to Road to Nowhere by Talking Heads... only this is a David Byrne live solo version.

And what on earth is a steel bass all about?
I saw one the other day and it sounded like a normal bass... looked nice though!

Well, I think it was a resonator bass. It kind of looks like the one above.
Sounded normal though.
