Just realized that the angel on the cover art is obviously modelled upon Rob Halford himself, right down to having the same haircut as he did at the time.

My favourite Judas Priest album by far, not just because it's the first one I heard but also because it's both got all the adventurous songwriting and psychedelic touches from the prog rock hangover and some of the darkest heaviest parts of the 1970s.

Decided to listen to Judas Priest's "S trilogy" today because, let's face it, it's one of the purest unbroken streaks of creative genius in hard rock and heavy metal history, but didn't notice until now that it's also Rob Halford's birthday. SYNCHRONICITY!
