I bought this Sunday night too. This is Matthew Parmenter's nephew Ryan Parmenter, who is also the singer for the band Eyestrings. He played the 6th track "I Dig Your Head" and H.T. and I turned and looked at each other and said "John Lennon". It sounded like one of the humorous songs that John Lennon could have wrote.

Jared, I haven't heard that one yet. I hear that it is more thrashy though. Is that correct? |
Hi Scott, Good to hear from you...
'Thrashy' isn't the word I'd use, but its certainly a lot heavier... but imho, that doesn't make it better. In fact, after oner listen, I don't think it comes close to The Art Of in terms of quality.
I have to say, they sound like 2 completely different bands, and with only the Holzwarth rhythm section as a continuation, this is unsurprising. Its certainly 'proggy' with some quirky, experimental instrumentation, but 2.5/5 might be about where it'll end up...

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

I downloaded "Hallogallo" based on a review from a member with tastes completely different than mine, who said that this song was their masterpiece. It had a nice beat or sound to it, but I hated that it never changed for the entire 10 minutes of the song. An experience that definitely turned me off from this band.
