That's understandable.

Wich poll did you make...???

Yes, indeed. Swiss Avant band.
Their MySpace.

A bit hit and miss for me.  I like it when they don't sing.

I just started to listen to Samla Ma... sorry, Sammy's Mama's Mama, but then I realized I want to listen to Gentle Giant more. I'm torn between wanting to listen to GG more and not wanting to quit Sammy halfway through. Oh the trials one must endure...

I know but I'm doing my homework as a prog fan... I'm exploring almost Prog-metal and Heavy-prog but I want to expand my horizons... the problem is that I have not that many time to do it so...

I suspect that with most of what is listed in SaltyJon's poll a love of jazz takes precedent over a love of rock or a love of metal.

Not really.  He doesn't list Third.  That's more jazzy than Second.  Plus also better, of course.

He also likes Zeuhl and Avant-prog.

Yes, but for the most part (not always) Zeuhl and Avant-prog is just really f**ked up jazz music.

Not really.  Some is.

Udu Wudu is.
Elements of Henry Cow's music is.

Univers Zéro, Present, Shub-Niggurath... no.

And most Krautrock/Electronic doesn't seem too jazzy.

I cannot stand Tago Mago really.

In fact, I don't even care for Mice and Rats in the Loft much either... they bother suffer from the same problem.  They're too noodly (not in an instrument sense like Dream Theater).

Yes.  I'm using the wrong word.

I mean the lengthy tracks like Halleluwah just go on and on and get boring.  They lack decent composition.

The Doors also suffer from the same problem.

"Ooooh, now we're playing a groovy tune... let's just randomly play our instruments with the same tune for 5 minutes."

The coolest thing about Halleluwah is that Jaki Liebezeit keeps rhythm for almost the entire 18 minutes.
