Yeah, my flatmate, a typical design student was always on at me about using HP and not Apple for design and that kind of stuff. I didn't care, his music taste was rubbish, and therefore lacked any artistic credibility in my eyes.

Meh, I like using Avid for video plus, I could get a competent pc and avid for the price of just one Apple computer.
I just don't want to pay the "cool" tax.

Yeah I'm fine using my PC, though it is nice having access to Apples with some good audio editing software on them courtesy of Penn State.

I know a guy who used a mac once, because he got it free. I don't think he used it for very long. He lieks teh linucks.

I use PC because is what I can pay... but I dream about a nice Apple in which I can do audio, video and artistic designs without falling out the system over and over again...

I have never needed to do any heavy editing, so I don't really know Windows limitations, but so far it hasn't failed me yet.

If you are using Vista, just upgrade to 7. I personally never had Vista, but 7 is a good OS from what I've seen.
