No, your lawn is communal property now and it's time for my nightly movement.

If you ever see my posts in a thread, then you've gone far past anything worth reading.

Well, I'm a Libertarian, so I'm liberal in some ways. Not very easily offended, but I can be a bit critical. But I think it's quite ironic that you're calling us over critical

I'm not easily offended by anything a stranger says to me on a forum. I may feel different if it was an actual friend I had made there, and had got to know.
Generally speaking though, why would I care what a stranger thinks about my taste in music or my political views. I couldn't give a sh*t frankly.
As for PA being dominated by over sensitive liberals, I really don't know, but I wouldn't have thought having a liberal outlook on life automatically predisposes one to being over sensitive. Why would it? Sounds like narrow minded conservative bibble to me....

Not trying to offend anyone, just speaking my mind.

OK, I'll introduce myself, regardless whether I am representative for the PA forum or not, but I've been lurking around actively for some 5 years and getting off the hook has never been on my wishlist yet: I tend to be not overly critical. I may be easily offended in private life now and then but not on this forum; I cannot remember anyway if I ever reported a forum post for being offensive, I think I never did. I have liberal roots which I cannot deny. Judging by your number of posts, you apparently have not attempted to become more or less familiar with this environment. So welcome...

On the other hand, doesn't it mean that you're easily offended by these "easily offended liberals"? Then, how could we make you feel more at ease? How could we make the "environement" more "positive" according to your ideas? No trying to offend you, just speaking my mind.

Are you implying that this is all about how Throw Sand feels about forums? It's not like the world revolves around him and we have to adjust the atmosphere of our forum according to his feelings. He politely asked us a question and he deserves an answer. I'd say this is the best response I've read so far:

Dunno, I've been here eight years and have always felt this is one of the more civil forums in the digisphere. But like several people have already said it you have to pick and choose what conversations you want to get involved with and which folks you want to hang out with. Almost like real life in that respect. |
