Absolutely. Hendrix was an American musician but the Jimi Hendrix Experience was a British group formed in London by Chandler as a vehicle for Hendrix with two British musicians. Wikipedia lists The Experience as an English-American group yet calls Placebo and English group even though Molko and Olsdal are American and Swedish musicians because they were formed in London.
Blackfoot Sue were a great rock band that like The Sweet adopted the glam image to sell records, (I wouldn't be surprised if their name wasn't derived in part from The Sweet's Wigwambam), Standing In The Road (JAM records) is one of the great singles of the 70s. I always preferred "Sing Don't Speak" - I tried to download it recently and the only version I found seems to be a recent remake .
