Dead was a very appropriate stage name for that guy to choose.

If the parents are allowing their children to go on an all-ages forum, where they know nothing x-rated stuff won't happen, they can't know someone is going to post a crime scene photo, even though it is technically an album cover; but it's still a crime scene photo. Can we start a thread posting the top 10 best crime scene photos?

^ Yep, everyone's defense for the indefensible. I've hidden some posts (cos I can). I get enough mutilation, torture and human degradation at home.

Simple, stylistically clean and pure metal.

With magic, you can turn a frog into a prince.
With science, you can turn a frog into a Ph.D. and you still have the frog you started with.

I was making a general comment on censorship, not on what may have been censored in this thread (I havenīt noticed if anything was).

...ah I see it was the Mayhem cover which was censored. Since this isnīt primarily a metal site I guess such action is fair enough even though I still strongly believe that censorship is of the bad. I canīt possibly imagine who found it a great idea to use the suicide picture of "Dead" as cover artwork though. Thatīs morbid and a disgusting way to attract attention to your product.

No I see absolutely no problem with the Sexual Carnage album cover. I think thereīs quite a bit of difference between showing a picture of a man who has blown his brains out and showing a gimmick picture of a nude lady. The first is disgusting on so many levels, while the latter really shouldnīt bother anyone unless you canīt cope with the site of mother nature herself. Itīs nudity alright, but itīs far from what I perceive as pornography (we have several covers here on PA with nude ladies on the front, including "Electric Ladyland" which features several naked ladies). I guess I just have to accept that some people find gimmick nudity (and weīre talking a couple of breasts) offensive .

Oh come on - if you can't see the sexual imagery in that photo, I dread to think what you would call unacceptable - as a member of HC status, I would have thought you could see that.

So thereīs a difference (not talking size or prefered personal taste ) between the breasts shown on the Sexual Carnage cover and the breasts shown on the Electric Ladyland cover? In your world the former is pornography and the latter art? Is that what youīre getting at?

Yes there is - in my world, the women on the Electric Ladyland cover aren't being pawed over by Jimi Hendrix
