You'd better believe it. Guitar solos really wouldn't fit on this album. It's very atmospheric and trippy.

I agree with Neal Morse,Roine Stolt and especially Kevin Gilbert.I was beginning to think I was the only person on this forum that admired his musical genius.

yes it is better than some yes albums; 90125, big generator, open your eyes etc. but dont build yourself up for somethin thats on a par with relayer or close to the edge cos it simply aint.

anyway for me its

chris squire              fish out of water
rick wakeman          ; ; ; journey to the centre of the earth
rick wakeman          ; ; ; six wives
rick wakeman          ; ; ; arthur
steve howe         &a mp;a mp;n bsp;    the steve howe album

also, try

partrick moraz         i
rick wakeman          ; ; ; white rock
rick wakeman          ; ; ; criminal record

all 3 are great, but no masterpeices.

hmm i understand, you mean, olias cant challenge with best YES albums (relayer, CTTE etc.)

I disagree. Olias is as good as the very best Yes albums, just completely different. Don't expect any great solos on Olias; that's not what the album is all about. But it is highly complicated and very atmospheric.

What are you talking about? This album's a classic, a must-have in any prog-rock collection.

Well if you're going to include Rundgren here, I would then include the album "Todd" which is much better than "Healing" (for me this album was a disappointment). Also, "The Ballad of Todd Rundgren" is a great solo work, as is "Faithful" and "Hermit of Mink Hollow." After that Todd begins his descent into oblivion.

For me are:

Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn / Crises

Kevin Ayers - Shooting at the Moon / Whatevershebringswesing

Kevin Ayers - Bananamour / Joy of a Toy

 Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom

 Peter Gabriel - IV

(and don't forget Nick Drake: the three albums Pink Moon, Bryter Layter and Five Leaves Left are very very beautiful!!!!)

Sure, guitar or keyboard solos are not important if music is ok.

I can't get into that one. Makes me feel like I should be wearing an elaborate lace Victorian dress (I'm a man) and sipping tea with crumpets.
