I guess, its just a temporary relief for them, because I've heard that UK's economy is doing a hard time. Talk about those wedding enthusiasts selling souvenirs too. LOL

I'm a bit suspicious of the royals ever since Diana drugged Henri Paul to make him crash that car just to give the free press a bad name.

It was on the evening news program (programme In English right?).  To be fair they did spend more minutes on the tornadoes that are devastating the middle of the country here  No wait, I'm hearing more Royal Wedding blather. Sleepy

If I'm not even attending my cousin's wedding, why would I care about the wedding of a spoiled brat and his doll? The only thing I want to know is who is Zora's father.

As a descendant of Rollon the conqueror of Normandy, I firmly disapprove: kings are to be dethroned, their daughters ravished, their kingdoms conquered and the whole beer of said kingdom to be drunk in one week. Heads must roll, do you hear me, false Viking??! HEADS MUST ROLL!!!

But that's another story.

Buuuuuuuuuuuut I think I'll abstain...

I guess really I don't care in the slightest, silly as it is...means even less to me. So yeah this should sum up what I think about it all

Any clarification needed? Wink

Rebel. Why be subject to that useless monarchy!?

We did it with a n00b country of England's rejects, criminals and religious nuts.
With today's weapons and technology Australia can manage I'm sure.

Extra day of paid leave, so no complaints from me. Been on duty for the past eight days so intend having a lazy one... doing a bit of reading with events from Westminster Abbey and Bucking-Ham (groan) Palace in the background.

Please get the Beckhams off the screen though!

I tend to agree with you. The Brits, who are my fellow humans in this society where I live (actually; the Brits are my obedient slaves here where I live), have had a very successful monarchy for 1000 years. They had a republic under Oliver Cromwell for some years and that was a terror regime in the same vein as Hitler's, Pol Pot's and Stalin's regimes. It was an experience not worth repeated which created divisions & bitterness still troubling these British island.

To those of you complaining about the costs:

Yes, this monarchy cost money. To be precise; 1/10 of what bad body odours in offices costs this nation. The latter one does not create a good flow of tourist and foreign valuta revenue, btw. Maybe it's about time to get the priorities right then. Take a sniff at your own armpits before you complain about this wedding and the monarchy.

And yes, I am not so elitist and snobbish that I turn my nose up at this wedding and the garden party with young excited females and great food I am writing these lines from. I am a human being and I have gradually accepted my lot. Good luck to those of you still in this process.

End of rant.
