I don't think i've heard of these guys until recently because of this thread, then yesterday in the Toronto Sun newspaper the music reviewer there did one on Elbow's latest and described them as "...Genesis loving Brits who do it with their usual mix of intelligent insight, mature wistfulness and majestic craftmanship on their sixth studio release."
He got my attention with the 4 star rating which he doesn't give out alot. I need to check them out in Youtube I suppose.

What this band has in their favor is that after liking one of their songs so much, a year later going back I still like it just as much

My son says that I should listen to 'Elbow', as they are progressive rock, similar to the early Moody Blues albums.....piano/mellotron? I do love the piano/keyboard influence in a song!!
 
Anyway, I must try and track them down via Youtube and have a listen.
