@Snowie: No, that's the forum, the site was started in 2001.

I wonder why the Wikipedia editors say in the deletion notice that they delete websites when they have websites already, like IMDB. Maybe if we get the PA page to look like IMDB's page, it will get approved. We should use the same terms, the same kind of official info, extended linking, etc. Maybe the material should be prepared first on PA and submitted only when it's completed.

The Alexa ranking is very easy to manipulate, so that does not worry me at all. Our ranking just means that we are honest people. That's all.

It's really silly. This site has thousands of artists in database, tens of thousands reviews, yet we are repeatedly banned from having a page on wiki ?

How comes this much smaller forum is there:

Doom9

How comes that many non important sites, forums are there, but we are not ?



Look how are we repeatedly mentioned in articles (as sources)

WIKI SEARCH

And we are the biggest site about Prog out there.

Yes, we are not professional reviews, we usually don't moderate reviews for fact finding (that is what makes them personal), but when it comes to reviewing, we have the manpower, when ii comes to database, we have thorough and over 7 years carefully created DB.


Or on a music encyclopedia related note,

is there.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

Personally, i have had some pretty positive experiences with Wikipedia

      On English Wikipedia, there is a page about the late prog musician Helmut Koellen, which has  mostly  been done by me
      There is also a page on English Wikipedia about the musician Dirk Steffens which is completely done by me

          I referenced where i could in both cases, and they have not put up any red flags, so i guess i have pleased them
