A new TOOL album would be amazing, but you never really know when theyre going to do anything. Mysterious fellows Tongue. The new PoS should be released next year though, very excited Big smile
Also looking forward to The Devin Townsend Project, Kayo Dots' 'Coyote' and Phideaux's next one

Oh and one name that I'm sure won't fail us.

Guy Manning.

There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

A new Yes album would be fantastic.  I also read ELP was preparing a new album, too.  I always look forward to new Vangelis, but haven't heard of anything yet.

Wakeman said that if sales of his new DVD, 6 wives live at Hampton Court Palace sold well enough, he might get support for doing new concerts of Journy to the Center of the Earth and Myths and Legends of King Arthur with orchestra and additional music, and have them released on DVD.

Phideauxs' new album should be coming out the first half of next year (I think). That should be good.

I'm expecting it to be the best year of music of all time, or at least f**kING AMAZING. If it'll out-do '07 then I will be utterly flabbergasted...

Confirmed:
NE OBLIVISCARIS, Sigur Ros, Agalloch, Alcest, Esoteric (they've started writing, at least...), Kayo Dot (Coyote!), Woven Hand, Burzum, Radiohead, Eluvium, Devin Townsend (maybe more than one), Massive Attack, sleepmakeswaves, Akercocke, Anathema, Ihsahn, Blut Aus Nord (this actually may be very late '09, and I don't mean MV II), Iron & Wine, Mothlite, etc, etc...

Possibly:
Ulver, Deathspell Omega (actually I have no clue about this, nor does anyone...), Neurosis, Opeth (check the faceculture interview. I actually hope this isn't true. Take your time, boys, unlike Porcupine Tree...), Akerfeldt Solo Album (there have been several discussions about this), Bon Iver, Coldworld, Bohren & Der Club of Gore, Earthless, Fleet Foxes, Nachtmystium, Forest of Stars, Darkspace, Anglagard (they're talking about writing!), Enslaved, Il Bacio Della Medusa, Yes, Tool, etc, etc...

God... it will be AMAZING!!!

I don't know any details, but I think it's safe to guess John Zorn will release something. ;-)
