^No, she is still alive. The name of the woman is Clare Torry. According to Wikipedia, she claimed co-authorship of The Great Gig in 2005 (32 years after its release):

^ Yep, she gets some royalties now I beleive.

Anyway, when I get a girl back to my prog lair, I like to chuck on some Opeth to get me in the mood.

They usually run by the first lines of lyrics. But hey, at least I tried, right?

^ No, I meant that the character who's role Clare Torry is playing on The Great Gig is dying (and that's why she's screaming, not because she's having an orgasm). LOL

"The song was called either "The Religion Song" or "The Mortality Sequence" during recording."

Oh, and also: "Roger Waters said that Clare came into the studio and the group said that "there's no lyrics. It's about dying"."

You see kids, this is why you should read a thread entirely before posting.

(Hmm, somehow I don't think so Joel Wink)

@Joel, I thought the song's opening was pretty cool, it wasn't too metal, and that guitar sound is just epic for some one like me who grew up in a house where King Crimson's Red is number 1, but after that the song just sucked balls, AKA SCREAMO.

Trendsetter win!

The lyrics are even worse - I have no idea how PsyOpus are considered talented by anyone, really

Almost three pages and no mention of Aphrodite's Child? I'd have to say I've never found a song that makes me laugh out loud more than ∞.

Mrs L and myself generally find opportunities for rumpy pumpy during the gaps between tracks (and still have time for the cigarette and shower before the drum intro has finished in most cases)

The term orasm in indeed rather baffling.  Although a neologism, I believe that it is related to the noun orgasm, but the lack of the letter g seems to indicate that it is more to do with oral communication such as oratory or oration.  Therefore, a good orasm could mean a satisfying use of sexual language - or to use the colloquial expression 'talking dirty'.  Why someone would want to utter a string of sexual profanities whilst listening to Pink Floyd's 'Great Gig in the Sky' is beyond me.  Why someone would want to share this information with the great and the good at Prog Archives is even further beyond me.  I fear I may have lived a rather sheltered life!

My guess is an orasm consists of climaxing without the aid of the G-spot...

He said "rumpy pumpy." he he hehehehe.

(Actually I'm still laughing out loud)
You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.
