Not forgetting Bert Jansch and John Martyn. John Fahey is another real master of the acoustic guitar, and a lot of his work has been reissued recently - try The Transfiguration of Blind Joe Death. Eric Clapton Unplugged is beneath contempt . |

Carlos, but the little I've heard of Ramon definitely makes him a contender! I'm a big fan of flamenco. One of the reasons why I love Mezquita. |

Can't believe i'm the first to vote for McLaughlin. His playing with Miles Davis
is amazing, especially on In A Silent Way. |

I have heard neither Steidl nor Sabicas... but of those mentioned here I do know De Lucia very much seems to be the best. And yeah, where are Django, Lagrene, Williams, Hackett, Fisk and many others...?

i won't vote on this poll because the only players i know from the list
are McLaughlin, Steve Howe and Eric Clapton and it was obvious from the
beginning that Howe would win because he the most popular one (at least
in this forum)
however - my choice out of those three would be John McLaughlin |
