1. Red - the ultimate prog album ever (Rock bottom is a close second). powerful, consistent ! 6 stars.
2. Lizard - the first KC's mature album.
3. Lark tongue's in aspic - the first Wetton era album. The creation of caos in music.

Honorable mentions : Islands, The power to believe, Discipline, Starless and bible black, Thrack, The construction of light. The two immature albums are also very very good.

for me myself and I...

1. ItWoP
2. Lizard
3. LTiA

hard to explain perference...  though the 2nd is rather similar to the first...  think it actually stronger though of course not as famous or groundbreaking.  Cat Food being the clincher..  nothing like that on the first...

Lizard is an album that has REALLY grown on me...  was sucked in at first by the incredible mellotron of Cirkus, and what has to be one of the real emotional moments of a band not exactly known for it... that Collins sax solo...  but over time the rest of the rest of the album has really taken with me.  Of course.. it has taken lots of time since this group is not exactly one of my favorites nor listened to that much.

LTiA.. .nothing much to say about that...  best album they ever did by far.. even if not my favorite.

  1. The Night Watch
  2. Absent Lovers
  3. Vroom Vroom

I actually prefer the live versions of nearly all KC songs, and I think that the live sets released in recent years (not so much the Collector's Club, but the mainstream releases) make a lot of the studio albums - especially the 80s output - sound pretty thin.

This is easy for me:

1. Red
2. In the Court
3. Lizard

I don't listen to any other KC albums, except Larks' occasionally.

I may be out of touch with everyone else on this one: The Power to Believe, then Discipline, then In the Court.

Well, this is because people listen to labels and not the music WinkLOL

Trying to explain mine (I remember saying Larks, Court, Islands, but Lizard and Discipline are also masterpiece material)...

Ah, I'll do it later.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd find it easier to mention my least favourite albums by the Crims.... I absolutely love most of them, and I would find it difficult to pick a favourite. If I had to do so, though, I'd probably go with ITCOTCK - Red - LTiA, though others are not far behind. In fact, the only KC album that really leaves me cold is Islands - not bad by any means, but somewhat on the soporific side.

For sure you have to be ''in the mood'' for ISlands, nevertheless a great album, though kind of depressive..................just play this one followed by THE FInal CUT..... and you might never come back to your oldself LOLWink

I only heard The Final Cut once a long time ago. I guess I wasn't in the mood for it. LOL

...but I'm almost certain I'd love Islands and ItWoP. LTIA and Starless are strange albums for me. While I love the experimentation on LTIA, it's dragged down by some of the shorter, more normal songs. Starless is the exact opposite. I must admit that DIscipline has been growing, but will never be a favourite for me. At least it deserves a better review than the one I gave it...but it was a looong time ago Embarrassed
