ABBA. They used Mellotron on their first 2 singles so they get my vote. As far as I know Slipknot have never used a Mellotron and I'm not willing to find out judging by what I've heard of them |

Slipknot is crappy because they dress up as clowns AND take themselves seriously. They also suck because 99% of the Slipknot fans I have met (excluding frenchie) are ignorant and arrogant. And they have something like seven members and could get rid of four and still sound the same. At least ABBA has members that serve an (evil) purpose and their fans aren't extremely arrogant and annoying. They are still both evil though
