all prog. with the exception of prog-metal and that is just a matter of finding something that 'grabs' me. Opeth and Dream Theater having failed already.

Try Maudlin Of The Well - Bath.

Anyway, I'm an all prog fan.

I like most prog, but there are some things

I don’t like about some genres.

Canterbury Scene, RIO/Avant-garde, Symphonic, Space, Kraut, (some) Italian, Neo Prog (some), (some) Fusion, (very little) Electronic.

I barely listen to progmetal or post-rock.
My music!

Most of my favorite bands are 70s symphonic, though I've found Canterbury to be the most enjoyable, all around.  Very little crap in that subgenre, as opposed to tons of crappy symph. bands.

RIO, Fusion, Kraut, Italian, and Folk are all good too.

I like almost all subgenres but early symphonic prog is and will be in the first place.

My favourite has always been 70's symphonic prog, but there's something good in all the sub genres. I'm prepared to believe there may even be some good prog metal out there somewhere, it's just very well hidden..

Ultimately bored by endless ecstasy!

Then the time is right to immerse yourself in bands from these genres. Never too late, and always a pleasure.

I'm an all-prog person and always try to keep an open mind. However, I have my favourite sub-genres as well, namely '70s Symphonic, Canterbury scene, prog-folk and Art Rock.
